From 1974 to 1984, I studied Gestalt facilitation and other personal growth modalities while living in an intentional Gestalt community in the Houston area.
I received a Mastership in Gestalt Awareness from the Gestalt Institute of Houston with over 3300 hours of internship.
Dr. Leland Johnson, Ph.D. and Maryann Merksamer, a student of Fritz Perls, were my mentors and fellow staff at the Gestalt Institute of Houston and Ocean Oaks Retreat Center in the 1970's. (Both Leland and Maryann passed in 2003.)

Guest faculty included Frank Rubenfeld, Ilana Rubenfeld, Eric Marcus, Jean Houston, Lenard Orr, and other nationally recognized leaders in the Association for Humanistic Psychology. The Gestalt Institute of Houston presented seminars several years at the AHP Conferences.
