As part of its mission to help others understand, apply and manage the power of electronic communications media, the Webb Foundation conducts and publishes research. Usually based on a proposed concept or idea, the research is done to measure and understand the impact of electronic communications media when applied to social, business, organizational, and academic pursuits. Once published, it is distributed to a wide audience to put the power of media to work for newcomers, as well as to refine applications for established practitioners.
Through its Partner Program the Foundation joins with nonprofit associations to brainstorm ideas for research, work with them to conduct research, and deliver the results to association members with little impact on the association resources.
The Foundation's publication Dynamic Media in Transition is the first of these research studies. Published in partnership with Knowledge Industry Publications, Inc., the study reports on the results of a broad-based industry survey of how communications media is being produced for and used by corporations, educational institutions and governments.
