Recognizing the wisdom of combining talents, the Foundation is initiating a program to advance the communications industry and profession while assisting non-profit associations in their efforts to serve the interest of their members.
In today's rapidly changing business, academic and technological environments, the industry's associations face the need to constantly expand and update programs and services in response to their members' increasingly diversified demands. This member mandate tends to consume most if not all of an association's available resources, often leaving little to conduct vital research or undertake other projects that will help members prepare for tomorrow.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, The Webb Foundation can provide an independent, neutral information resource and open the door to a new set of resources and opportunities that only a foundation can provide. In effect, the Foundation can serve as a vehicle that can provide a focal point for associations serving the communications media field to work together in undertaking core projects of benefit to their members.
